Thanks Stuart,
I suspected that it might be simpler than the terminology suggests.
Yes I do mean an indicator.
I was hoping to use an illuminated pushbutton switch to indicate the caution, that I can push to acknowledge it. I can certainly do that by using the switching function of a pushbutton ...

Master Caution button
I would like to use the O5 pin on the Analog/Digital Inputs connector of my iBox to create a Master Caution button, as alluded to in the manual.

SP10 power wiring
It should be obvious to me but . . .
The SP10 manual has a variety of helpful wiring diagrams for the D-Sub 25 socket but no reference to the D-Sub 9 on the other end.
The pin-out diagrams on the casing show power and ground on both D-Sub plugs. In the case of the D-Sub 25, the wiring diagrams ...

Re: Freq flop com 1 button
Adam O'Connor of Michigan Avionics was kind enough to provide the following in direct response to my question:
The source of ground for the switch does not matter. The other side of the switch must go to the "Ax" input pin. The "G" pins exist as a ground reference in case there isn't an easy way ...

Re: Freq flop com 1 button
Just checking over my work (over a year later  ) and I find I need to clarify just one thing from this old post:
I followed the hand drawn diagram linked by Matt above. Rainier also says "Your switch would go from that input to ground. All you now need to do is select the input as "active ...

OAT wiring - testing?
I have grafted on the wires of the supplied OAT sensor to the relevant wires of the iBox PWR connector. As I understand it, OAT green goes to iBox black on pin 4 and OAT red goes to iBox green (TMP) on pin 9. I have used solder sleeves, which are new to me
But how to test my work? Should there be ...

CAN harness:- Continuous Vs Daisychain, Shielded Vs Twisted pair
I am planning to make my own custom CAN harness. I have a fairly full suite of MGL devices so I will have 6 devices on CAN 1 and 5 on CAN 2. I had been planning on a daisychain of individual 'links' using twisted pair, connected with small 2way Molex connectors and stubs to each device coming off ...

Re: Freq flop com 1 button
However what you can do very easily is connect say a 4K7 resistor (Value not hugely critical - anything from 2K2 to 10K should work) from the iBOX input to 12V. Your switch would go from that input to ground. All you now need to do is select the input as "active low" in the setup.
The resistor ...

ECB D9
I am installing a string of 3 ECBs. I believe I am clear on most things except the wiring of the PWR+ pins on the D9 connectors
The manual says "Note: Supply current for ECB will be taken either from the breaker input terminal or the supply pin 4 on the D9 connector depending on which voltage is ...
