CAN Actuator Light

Sir/ Ma'am,

We have a theoretical system with two actuators plugged into a newly built aircraft with a new MGL EFIS central controller screen:

• Channel 1 - We plug the first actuator in, a light on the actuator comes on for about one second then goes out. The central controller screen does not register an actuator.

• Channel 2 - We unplug the first actuator and plug in the second actuator, the second actuator light comes on solid. We tell the controller what we have. the second actuator light flashes consistently afterwards.

• We unplug the second actuator, plug the first actuator in and the light comes on for about a second then goes out. The central controller screen does not register any extra actuators

Can we read error codes for CAN channel 1 from the display to tell us what the central controller is thinking ?

I gather with actuator you are referring to an autopilot servo ?

The servo which your LED comes on and goes off is faulty. It is not executing any code.

The other one seems fine.
