EMS1 vs EMS2

Hello, first post here so sorry if my search has overlooked this question that may already have been answered.

I have 2 aircraft using EMSv1 and they both display the same parameters but in a different order. Rearranging them to be the same order has defeated me.

I have tried to use the EMS G2 Simulator & Screen Designer but soon discovered it doesn't work with G1 displays.

Is there a G1 version of the Screen Designer? Is there a way to reorder the displayed parameters?

As you can see OT and OP are transposed between them and I would really like them to be in the same place on both displays.

Thanks in advance

Jim

Have you updated both Gen 1 Xtreme EMS to the latest firmware V1.12

Hi Franz

This is where it gets a bit confusing for me! When I downloaded the config onto SD card is downloaded a file called XTREME.EMS

As the EMS G2 Similator was expecting a file called XTREME2.EMS I made the assumption it must be Gen 1 but the odd thing is on startup is shows a firmware version of 2.09.

Does this mean I actually have Gen 2 that have just never had the firmware updated?

If it has a 2.XX on the start up screen then it is a Gen 2 unit.

Yes, you are lucky. We have just recently released a massive update to the Xtreme EMS Gen 2 firmware. The XTreme EMS Gen 2 now supports a screen designer for custom displays (Perfect for your setup). See the MGL website for more information. You will have to upgrade the firmware and LOAD DEFAULT SETTINGS. Loading default settings is unavoidable as this update requires to many changes to memory. Write down all your settings before updating as you will have to manually enter them in again after the update.

Are both units Gen 2?
