iEFIS and RDAC

Post by AkiSuokas »

Setup is like this
iEFIS Discovery Lite
- RDAC XF MAP
- SP6
- SP7

SP6 and SP7 are detected and they flash double flashes.
for RDAC EFIS says "Rdac not available" and in info "Rdac not connected".

Tried with two different RDAC:s, same results.
CAN wires shorthened. iEFIS firmware updated.

ideas!!

Yes
RDAC shows green flash at about once a second.
SP6 and SP7 double flash. And their signal is working in EFIS.
Termination resistor (120 ohm) is at both ends of the CAN.

Removing SP7 from line does not affect RDAC:

RDAC will also double flash if it is connected to an EFIS.
Since you plugged in a second RDAC with the same result - your wiring is the suspect. Have a closer look.

That was my problem and it's now solved. Rdac grounding was a problem. I added a wire from the engine bolt where Rdac was grounded to firewall common ground and now Rdac works perfectly.
