Can someone please help me with the wiring diagram and setup between the MX1 and Garmin SL 40 Radio. The Sl40 is listed as a compatible device with the MX1.

Re: MX1 - Garmin SL 40 radio setup/connection
1) Choose one of the 4 RS232 ports on the MX1. Configure that port in your serial port setup and routing menu as a Garmin Radio for COM1. In equipment enables please enable COM1.
Wire the MX1 TX line to the radios RX line. The MX1 RX line does to the radios TX line.
If the radio is operated on another independent power source or your MX1 is otherwise isolated electrically then you also need to wire a ground connection between the two (Radio ground to the MX1 ground). If both are in the same supply you do not wire a ground (if you do you will likely create a ground loop - multiple grounds for EFIS and radio can create a loop antenna which is a very effective way to create gray hair trying to get rid of radio noise).
That's all...
