oil pressure sendin unit

Post by DEW »

Hello
New to the forum and my MGL system.
Challenger lt system with extender to get the AOA, running a Lyc HIO 360 C1A, converted to a O ( carb ) with duel P mags.
Set up questions
Question reg the Oil pressure sender. The oil pressure sender VDO part number 360-004 data sheet shows this to be a 6-24 volt gauge. The oil pressure setup page in the ifes lists selection as, 0-5v, or 0.5-4.5v, or automotive, restive. Is the automotive restive the correct selection?
Thanks DEW

yes it is a resistive sender. Choose the 150 ohm setting - it tends to be more accurate than the 200 ohm as the sensor does not use the full 200 ohm range. Then also choose resistance increases with pressure and select the range. You can use the range to tweak the reading if you have an accurate reference.
