Fuel readout on the EFIS

Post by Awalkerch750 »

I'm trouble shooting fuel gauges on a Descovery Lite installed in a Zenith CH750stol aircraft. One tank is nearly empty the other half full. I ohm'd the wires at the RDAC unit and get two different readouts that suggest the senders are working. On the EFIS display both tanks show empty. So I tried flipping the dip switches to ON now they both show full. Is there something else in the EFIS settings I need to change?

If the senders are resistive type you will need the pull-ups on.
If voltage type, pull-ups off.
Assuming it has not been done before, you will need to calibrate the fuel levels as per the manual-
  • Specify tank size
  • Drain tank to minimum usable
  • Teach tank level in 20% increments (empty/20/40/60/80/full)
