Re: Dead CR2032?

I opened the thing up today, it was a CR2032. And it was very dead. Now I'm rather curious as to what would cause it to die that quickly and to that extent. The old battery is reading 0.07V. What would draw it down that far that fast?

Dead CR2032?

Recently my Xtreme EMS G2 has started to forget the time when I shut it off. When I turn it on it'll say the date is something like 3406/14/14. I assumed that it was a dead CR2032, but then I read that newer units could have a rechargable battery in them. Without opening this thing up for no reason,...

Re: Fuel Flow all over the place

I'm stumped. I've tried everything y'all have recommended, no joy. I get the same bouncy reading with two different FT-60. I've tried known clean, measured clean, isolated power, no joy. (My ship's power didn't give me anything unusual on the scope). I've tried both FF1 and FF2, same readings. I've ...

Re: Fuel Flow all over the place

Interesting. I haven't checked my alternator / regulator. It's worth a look.

Re: Fuel Flow all over the place

I'll have to break out my scope, see if it shows anything.

In the mean time I moved the FT-60 to FF2 and it's not fixed, but better. On FF1 I would see 3-6GPH fluctuations, on FF2 it's down to 1-2.5.

Re: Fuel Flow all over the place

I've had it "free floating", hard mounted to the firewall and currently it is secured solid. No place has worked any better than any other. Right now it has a 6 inch hose on the inlet side and about a foot on the exit, both flexible hose. As far as vibrations go it should be about as isolated as it ...

Re: Fuel Flow all over the place

Thanks for the feedback. We can assume that the FT-60's output is normal since I just sent it back to EI and had them check it out. They assure me that it is working absolutely normally as far as they are concerned. I'll re-check my wiring. Right now I've got the FT-60 wired to the main bus. I'm als...

Re: Fuel Flow all over the place

For my install, I'm carbureted so reading an injector isn't in the picture. It's just reading the flow between the mechanical pump and the carb. Any other ideas?

Fuel Flow all over the place

I've got the XTreme EMS w/ RDAC XF. I'm using the EI FT-60 for my fuel flow. Ever since I've installed everything my fuel flow has been all over the place. In cruise I'll see as much as a 3gph fluctuation. I've tried moving the FT-60 around and installing it in various ways: -Before both fuel pumps ...

Re: Xtreme G2 EMS CSV output

Franz was kind enough to send me some info, but there are still holes. I've attached one of my CSV files, with the headers that I understand. 05062021.zip Basically I see the data laid out as follows: Date, Time, Hobbs (in hours), Maintenance Timer Remaining (in hours), Volts, RPM1, RPM1%, RPM2, RPM...
