ADS-B data

Post by N43YX »

Are the MGL iEFIS systems--iEFIS lite, namely--able to display all of the ADS-B products that the UAvionix unit can receive? The iEFIS page on the main MGL Avionics USA website mentions weather and traffic but what about METARs, TAFs, TFRs, etc? Also, is traffic and weather displayed directly on the moving map or on a separate page?

I apologize for the flurry of questions but I am trying to make some avionics choices in the near future and couldn't find the answer to this or my other question about monitoring multiple bus voltages simultaneously anywhere.

Yes.
Notams etc will be tied to an airport so that info is available from your airports info viewer (tap the notepad symbol).

Any device that outputs ADS-B in GDL-90 format at 115200 Baud can be used.
On iEFIS G3 optionally you can also use 38400 Baud as used on some stratux receivers.

No - the Enigma predates ADSB by quite a few years - it simply does not have the horsepower or memory capacity to handle ADSB data feed, processing and rendering.
