SP-7 AHRS failing
Hi, I have an SP-7 AHRS (pre September 2013 build) that recently started to fail with the AH on my Gen 1 Xtreme EFIS (running version 1.37) no longer showing wings level when they're. Typically the AH starts to show a right bank when wings are level. This has been slowly getting worse over the last 10 flights to the point that the AH drifts into a significant 30 degree bank with wings level. I have read the SP-7 AHRS Firmware Upgrade instructions (SP-7.pdf). This document suggests that as the SP-7 AHRS ages gyro bias may need resetting. I have two questions. Do you think upgrading the firmware on my SP-7 as per the instructions will enable me to fix my issue? Also, given I have Gen 1 Xtreme EFIS, will I be able to reset gyro biases from my EFIS or will the menu option not be available to me after firmware upgrade?

The symptoms you describe are very similar to those caused by vibration. Could there be a problem with the SP-7 mounting?
