I have been reviewing the manuals for an install into an Eastern European warbird. The aircraft already has a third party (GRT) efis system that I would like to add a com/nav capability. It would be nice to also upgrade the intercom at the same time but panel space is limited.
Is it possible to link an V16, N16, and A16 via the CAN bus and control them from a single Razor control head? I would primarily control the COM/NAV from the efis via the RS-232 link and SL30 protocol so the Razor could control the intercom primarily. Just curious if this is possible.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Razor capability
Yes.
The Razor fitted with the current firmware can be switched between NAV/COM and Intercom by means of the touch screen - enter menu and tap on the top line of the menu (the menu heading) to switch. Note this is only possible if it detects a A14 or A16 intercom connected.

Re: Razor capability
There appears to be two Razor control heads while looking at the vendor websites here in the USA. One is labeled Razor Intercom and the other is a Razor COM/NAV. Am I correct to assume the COM/NAV would be the control head needed to drive the com, nav, and intercom?
Would the com, nav, and intercom be daisy chained in the CAN bus or would the intercom be controlled by via two of the RS-232 ports while the com and nav are linked via the CAN bus?
TIA

Re: Razor capability
The NAV/COM also includes the Audio control panel firmware (you switch between NAV/COM and Audio panel).
You connect everything to the same CAN bus. Razor, radio and intercom.
