I have an Enigma installed in my (new to me) plane.
The heading reading on the display is very erratic. I’ve tried to calibrate the compass sensor on the ground and in the air but with no luck. I’m assuming it is displaying magnetic heading - the auto pilot tracks and holds a gps heading really well and corresponds with my track on ForeFlight.
Not sure what to do to move forward.
How do I fix the ratio readings?
Can I change the display so it chows gps heading instead?
Cheers
Rich

Re: Enigma heading fluctuations
What Magnetic Sensor are you using and where/how is it mounted?
Re: Enigma heading fluctuations
Not sure which magnetic sensor is installed. It is behind the panel and very difficult to get to.
I'll see if I can get in with a borescope to get a picture of the model number and how its installed.

Hello,
Indeed, it is quite difficult to access this part, but if you manage to take a picture, it will be easier to help you.

Sorry for the massive delay. It is an SP-2 magnetometer. Located behind the panel next to the AHRS module
