Rotax 4-20ma sender to Ems

Post by Stevek7m »

Installing EMS2 on my rotax 912 with the newer 4-20Ma oil sender, set up everything according to manual and I’m getting 1.9 bar oil pressure with engine off, I installed the supplied resistor, any ideas please!

Thanks Stuart,
Thought it was but double checked and it wasn’t so I switched it off, now shows .1 bar with engine off, I did read on sending unit it says says 4 ma =.75 bar and 20ma =10.75 bar if that matters?

There can be some offset variation in readings- obvious down at the bottom end of the pressure range, but insignificant at operating pressure
The critical thing is indication at operating pressure- you will soon establish what the normal indication is/should be, and just look for changes from 'normal'.
