Ambient Temperature Reading stuck at 32 F on Odyssey

Post by rusty »

Has anyone experienced a failure in the OAT ( outside ambient temperature ) system on an Odyssey EFIS G2 ? Mine is 12 years old (serial no. 62) and is finally starting service this month ( slow builder I know....). It only shows 32 on the EFIS display all of the time now. Originally it did display the ambient temperature correctly. At first I thought it was a bad sensor which I replaced, but it made no difference. Whether the sensor ( wired to plug pins 2 & 3) or no sensor, the reading stayed at 32. Checking voltages on main connector (pins 2 and 3 read) read approx. 5 volts with no sensor and 3 volts with sensor at room temperature. I heated up the new sensor some and it kept increasing in voltage as it warmed up. Any suggestions or advice appreciated. Thanks in advance. Russ

The problem has been fixed. No longer an issue.
