I have an Xtreme in a new installation on an AeroVee. The first several starts everything was working well. Then the CHT's started acting up. They read about room temperature before start and then then 1-3 jump up to 800F or so while 4 reads what is expected around 275F for hi idle. I've checked them with an IR temp gun and all the cylinders are similar, around the 275F mark.
I've verified all the wires are secure. The tach, Oil temp, Oil pressure, and EGT's all seem normal. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem
I shielded the leads and that solved the problem
Aircraft Spruce sells braided silver plated shield and it depends on diameter of your leads what you get
I grounded one end of the sheilds to the engine block
