MX1 Landscape mode update available

Post by rainier »

On the MX1 Firmware page you will find two sets of files, one for landscape and the other for portrait mode displays.

Each set consist of the MX1OPSFW and MX1FW file for the EFIS itself and the matching simulator you can use to design your own screens.

You can change between Portrait and Landscape modes by replacing both firmware files in your EFIS- details on how to do that on the Firmware page.

Note that the built in AHRS can only work in Portrait mode for MX1 systems manufactured up to now. You can however connect an external AHRS to these devices such as the SP-7 AHRS to work around this limitation. For MX1 systems manufactured from today onwards the built in AHRS can automatically detect its orientation for both landscape and portrait modes and will behave correctly.
