Re: IEFIS Chalenger audio
Have you enabled the AUX input on the radio and set the input gain ?

Re: IEFIS Chalenger audio
Hello.
I enabled AUX input and tried different input gains, but I only hear noise although the audio transformer is installed.
I don't hear any message like "GPS available".
Noise is different when I change screens for example, as you commented in a previous post.
Best regards. Manolo.

Hello.
I have no success at all with this issue.
Can you confirm this diagram and cable shield connection is OK?
Thank you. Manolo.

It may be correct, but I don't like the look of the way you have connected the grounds/shields. As an experiment I would disconnect the shiled connections in all four places and see if you get any sound. It might might not be perfect but you should have some sound. If you do, you know what the problem is. If not, then you have to look to the configuration of the EFIS.
Next step might be to beg/borrow an oscilloscope and someone who can use it

Wiring should work - but as an aside the correct practice using shields is to connect them on one end only - otherwise the shield is just another conductor.
Do you have the sound file installed ?
Rainier

Hello.
I tried conecting only one end of the shield too on each leg: radio-transformer and transformer-efis.
The sound file is installed but it takes less than 1 second to install, when on the site it's said "The programming will take around a minute depending on the size of your sound file". The size is 349 KB.
Thank you.

Hi.
I don't know what else may I try.
- I connected only one end of the shield on both cases: on the end of the equipment and on the end of the audio transformer
- I disconnected equipments like wifi gateway, arduino, so only iEFIS, radio, RDAC and extender are ON.
but the noise is there.
I'm going to close glareshield and will not use this feature what is a pitty.
Regards.
Manolo.
