V16 frequency change
I haven’t got iEFIS connected to a V16 radio. All controls of the radio are done via the iEFIS At the moment when I change frequencies and flip the old frequency goes back to the top. I am stuck with one frequency that I cannot change. The radio works on that frequency both in and out so the tx to rx wiring is correct. Please help
Re: V16 frequency change
I am sorry I do not understand your statement. You say you haven't connected the iEFIS to the V16 but the RX/TX wiring is correct ?
That does not make sense.
In any case: When you flip frequencies on the iEFIS the iEFIS will flip the display immediately. However any status communications received after that will flip the frequency display back if it has not changed. This means you have the radio TX connected to the iEFIS RX but there is no connection from the iEFIS TX to the V16 RX. In other words the iEFIS is in fact not changing the frequency as the instruction to do so never arrives at the radio.

Re: V16 frequency change
I meant that the iEFIS was connected to the V16
I have just checked the continuity between iEFIS tx and v16 rx and is is good
We have checked both rx and tx both ways and all good
Also the maintenance button in the radio drop down does not do anything
I have tried two V16 radios and same problem
I had the same problems with my iEFIS Challenger which was later damaged in transport from being tested at the distributors.
They then lent me a new Explorer lite and the same problem exists
I am getting very frustrated
Please help
