This is a Beta preview of version 2.3. It has several changes.

Added is an import for airspaces from OpenAIP in json format. Imports for the other files (airports, waypoints, obstacles etc) are not yet functional).
This is great!! Thank you.

I've been trying. Installed and working fine.

Thank you so much Rainier.

I've looked deeply into converting the openflightmaps.org data to the maps & airspaces for our MX1. I ended up doing a python tool to run it automatically and I'll publish it as soon as it's polished enough. However, there is one thing in MGL Central that I'd like to get figured out first: How do I get the VFR reporting points (or IFR points) imported? I checked the ARINC424 file and it contains them as follows:

Code: Select all

SEURPCEFETEF TOSSA EF0 V N68310500E023181900 WGE TOSSA 064932402
SEURPCEFETEF HIRVA EF0 V N68230600E023032500 WGE HIRVA 064942402
SEURPCEFETEF JOHKA EF0 V N68245000E023560300 WGE JOHKA 064952402
SEURPCEFETEF KATKA EF0 V N68071200E023224800 WGE KATKA 064962402
but they do not appear in the MGL Central after import.

Should I use some other format for importing? I thought that ARINC424 would be the "Most official" and most structured, and chose it because of that.

Hi.

In my case (Spain) I imported directly from ENAIRE, from the offcial AIP (this is up to date for sure).

You can see how I did it in this video:

Best regards.

I'd like to avoid doing separate handling per country, that's why the openflightmaps is so appealing :)
