Can anyone suggest a specific model of a 7" or 8" VGA LED Screen that you have successfully used, that displays the iEFIS Screen on the passenger's side on a dumb Screen?

Is it correct that you cannot use cheaper LCD screens because they may emit noise into the radios due to the high voltages in them??

Some of the displays may still use florescent tubes as backlights but to be honest we never had any noise issues with these. I don't think it is a matter of "cheap" vs "expensive" when it comes to radiation of EMI.
It's pretty much the same as your EFIS itself - the display module itself has some radiation that tends to go up to about 6 foot or so (depending on size) - it's mostly magnetic fields so these decay fast. Trouble only brews is this is allowed to couple to something close by that starts to radiate it as electrostatic field - that can travel some distance.
Radiation via power supply or video cables is also possible - but that can be effectively suppressed by a ferrite bead or two.

Best answer - get one and try it - most likely it will be fine.

Thanks Rainier.
My Challenger has performed flawlessly for the last 4.5 years. No noise issues at all. Gets a 10/10 from me.
Thanks for making such a fantastic iEFIS.
