iBOX V2 firmware update

Mandatory update
I have released a new version of the V2 iBOX firmware. A problem has been discovered where some CAN bus messages do not get forwarded to the EFIS for some devices due to CAN bus hardware compatibility issues with the V1 firmware. This has now been addressed. In addition the new firmware prepares the iBOX to process 29 bit CAN bus ID messages which will likely be used in future devices.
Update process: Download the iBOX V2 update file from www.mglavionics.co.za/Software/IBOX01V2.BIN or use the relevant link on our website (under iEFIS G2 or G3 firmware updates).
Copy file to an SD card (root folder) and insert into EFIS. From "System Setup menu" select "iBOX functions and sensor setup" and then "Load iBOX firmware from SD card". Confirm and if the file is found on your SD card it will start the programming (you will see progress on the screen). Takes around a minute to upload. After that your ibox will go offline and the iBOX fail message will appear for around 30 seconds - the iBOX will then restart. Note that it may be required to cycle power after this has been done to get the GPS to restart.
