V16 high VSWR

Post by Jeffsy »

On transmit it shows a VSWR OF 25
The antenna is Cmmant aviation suitable for the radio
What can the problem be and what should I do to get it back to approx 1?

For a VSWR so bad, one would expect a cable fault. I assume that you've checked for short circuit between signal and screen conductors, and open circuit faults too?
Are you adapting from one cable type to another? Or in other words, how are you adapting from SMA to BNC?

Yes - that means there is a very serious fault - short circuit of the cable or open cable (fully reflected signal).
