V16 isolated jacks for mic and heaadphone

Post by manolo.lezl »

Hello.

I have installed those jacks with no contact with frame as remarked on the installation manual. When I connect the DB25 conector on the V16 radio, the shield of those jacks get in contact with frame via the radio GND.

This is the way that should be, right? GND connection only via V16 body.

Thank you.

Yes. The principle is that if you also ground the jack socket, say, to the airframe, you will create a ground loop which can cause many issues.
