First one updates via PC and serial port.
Second one does the update from an EFIS.
The firmware already did everything - I added a complete audio shutdown of the RX in case the interlock line is detected as low.
Give it a go

Just updated both radios, unfortunately the firmware made no difference.

Re: Dual V16 problem
that can only mean the audio you are hearing does in fact not come out of the V16 - it's "zero'd" on the digital side just before getting to the DAC that converts the digital audio into analog - which then goes to the analog output amp.
Re: Dual V16 problem
I'm not sure if it means anything but when the antenna cable is disconnected on the 'listening' radio there is no break in squelch.
When the squelch breaks it is only the standard volume squelch, as it does when you change the volume on the radio.
The squelch only lasts the standard volume change period no matter how long the other radio call is transmitting.

Re: Dual V16 problem
OK that's an important hint - standard volume change period - please explain what you mean - are you saying the (on purpose) opening of the squelch for a brief time when changing RX volume and there is no station received ?Tasmag wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 11:46 am I'm not sure if it means anything but when the antenna cable is disconnected on the 'listening' radio there is no break in squelch.

Spot on Rainer, exactly that.
The "squelch" stops after the standard volume change period (1 second?), even if you continue to transmit and only does it once per transmission.
