I'm just working my way through phase 1. I have an N16 providing nav info to a G5 via a Vega. That's working well. I also have an Avidyne IFD 410 providing GPS info to an Advanced AF-5600T, which is also working well. I'm wondering whether I can take the RS232 Vega-to-G5 wires and share the signal between the G5 and the AF-5600T. Does that sound reasonable? If not, perhaps I could install a switch that controlled whether the G5 or the AF-5600T receive the nav info. What do you think?
Thanks,
Glen

Re: Share N16 info between two displays?
You can connect the TX from the Vega to more than one receiver (PX pin) - no problem at all.
The only thing you cannot do with RS232 is to connect two (or more) TX pins to one RX pin.
There is an exception such as the RS232 TX pins on our iBOX and iEFIS lite and MX1 - in these cases the TX pins are disconnected internally if a unit is not a master device. So only one device will switch through its TX signal if it is a master device.
