I wonder if this device can be use in glider, to make clouds flight, or to break through clouds during wave flights when happens that clouds cover the ground.
Has anyone had such expierences using AHRS 4 in glider?
How reliable is device in genearl?
How reliable is after few round of circling? (increasing precession error)

Re: AHRS 4 for glider user
A glider tends to be very friendly for any AHRS (no engine vibrations).
Your concern about circling is correct and valid. Normal horizons will show level after a while owing to the correction mechanisms (pendulous units in older devices).
If your AHRS-4 is connected via NMEA feed to a GPS it however knows your velocity - using this and rotation rates it can work out centrifugal forces acting on the aircraft and do a pretty good job at giving you a valid horizon "forever".
