Log 2 with Vega EMS1

I bought a Data logger, Log 2 with the GPS input, and connected it to a Vega EMS1. The problem is that I do not get any files generated on the disk. The logger recognizes it has a disk (red led blinks), and it is receiving data from the EMS1 (green led blinks), but the orange led is out (no data recording), and in fact there is no data being recorded. If I lock the disk, the orange led lights up solid (disk locked indication). I have tried several different disks, same result for all of them. I am at a loss as to what is the problem.... I have checked and double checked all of the connections. I am using channel 1 for the receipt of data on the logger. Anybody have any ideas?

Please make sure that the baud rate in the EMS-1 comm menu is set to 57600.

That worked. It would be very helpful to have that setting specified clearly in the instructions for the Logger.
