Xtreme ASI - how to correct an incorrect airspeed indication?
My Xtreme displayed an airspeed that was about 65% of the TAS from the day it was installed (5 flights so far). So I did some tests to determine if there was a leak in the pitot connection.
I applied a pressure to the pitot tube using a manometer and recorded the results. I repeated the test with a direct connection to the Xtreme with the same result.
Results with the direct connection to the Xtreme:
Xtreme Indicated kt 50 100 150 180
Test pressure kt 62 124 188 228
The same results were obtained using the test pressure connected to the pitot tube.
Can this error in the indicated airspeed be corrected with the ASI Calibration Factor? If so do I increase the factor or decrease it?
