XTreme EFIS Programming suggestion

Some observations of the XTreme EFIS. Nothing to do with how the screens are displayed, they are rather good. My primary complaint is when doing a search for a waypoint or airport it is very clumsily. That is having to go through all the special symbols and lower case letters. Why not eliminate all but the Caps and numbers. I have never seen a waypoint with a question mark or a dollar sign.
Surely this can't be a difficult item to address.
Another why have 6 search fields? Yes I'm sure there are some locations in the world where it may be necessary for more than four input fields. If indeed that is a problem let the end user, such as myself and other US users, select a 4,5 or 6 input field.
Again, a clever programmer would correct this oversight in a few key strokes.
As always asking for a friend and others I'm sure..
