Enigma map not "loading" from SD card?

Following (flat) CR2032 battery replacement, Enigma data is now retained during power off (time, Hobbs, etc). Thanks JimJab for your reply.
Still no map displayed however. Airport locations etc are displayed correctly on a "blank" background.
The map absence was coincident with the backup battery failure.
The map file VMAP.evd is still resident on the SD card, and is the exact file size as a backup copy (which i also copied to SD card, without further success).
The Enigma lists files stored on the SD card correctly
I suspect some required reference to the map location on SD card during booting of internal drive was lost once backup battery failed??
Help appreciated!!

Rob, firstly I would be checking to make sure your GPS can and is getting a GPS fix, once your GPS has a fix, turn off the EFIS.

Then reboot the EFIS and select your map screen and adjusted the map zoom right out to show the world map to see where your planes current GPS position is on the world map.

If you planes GPS position is on the world map is roughly where it should be, zoom back in and then using the Menu System to check which type of maps you have selected, "Raster" or "Vector" in the menu "Map Viewing Options" If you still have black Raster maps, reload all your Raster map files back onto the internal "Solid State Disk" of your EFIS.

If your plane's position on the world map is not where it should be, your Raster maps will not be covering that area and you'll get a blank (black) map.

If your GPS still can't get a fix, e.g. plane in hangar, antenna not connected, GPS internal flat ribbon cable faulty and you have lost your last know GPS co-ordinates maybe because of a flat button battery ????.

Your EFIS could be booting up using it's default co-ordinates, when I had this happen to my EFIS, it puts my plane somewhere off the west coast of North Africa on the world map.

In my case, it was not the maps, it was my GPS not being able to give my EFIS a new GPS fix to change it from the default co-ordinates.
