Firmware Update Failure G2 iEFIS
I just picked up a plane with dual MGL iEFIS Gen 2. I am attempting to update the firmware but I am getting an error along the lines of "Firmware for Unknown Device" when I attempt to update the firmware using the EXP2.BIN file. I've formatted the card to FAT32, the current version is 1.0.4.x so I know the binary file format change should be done as it's past 1.0.2.5 (for the EXP1.bin to EXP2.bin). Does anyone have any input on this?

It seems you are trying to install firmware to a device - not updating the EFIS.
To update the EFIS you merely copy the file (EXP2.BIN) for a G2 iEFIS to the root folder of the SD card, insert and switch on. If the EFIS is happy with your file the update happens automatically and you will see messages on the screen for a short while as this is ongoing.
