My Electronic Checklist Blues are now FIXED!! Yeaaaa
Ive been trying to make a usable Electronic Checklist for a day now, while the Checklist function Text Files are great and easy to create, when their loaded and actually appear on the EFIS Screen only about 1/3 of my average checklist file will appear on my EFIS Challenger Screen? Is there a way to have the Checklist Text File use up the complete Vertical Space on the EFIS Screen (Like the Checklist Main Menu?) and to vary the text size?
As it is now you can't vary the text size and a 15 line Checklist text file takes 3 Screen Changes to see the whole checklist?
Also it takes "4" button pushes to go from 1 checklist (say #2) to the next sequential checklist (like #3)?
There should be a way to hit 1 button and move to the next sequential checklist? The Checklist function is important.
Trying to use an Info Screen for a Checklist is just a frustrating experience, with no text editor Getting Lists in order, Correct, and Usable can take hours, and the option of simply loading a MIF Picture of your Checklist page into a INFO Screen just doesn't work, INFO Screens are a dead end.
So are folks just limiting themselves to 7 Line Checklist's or what?
Looking for a usable option?
Thanks
Cecil Jones

Re: Electronic Checklist Blues--Problem Fixed!!
Hi Cecil,
Yes it is possible to have checklists other than the types you can make up via the menu system and yes you can then change from one checklist page to the next by pushing the page - or page + when you have designed the screen and pages for your checklists.
It's a shame the old forum posts that were lost back in August have not been able to be brought across to this new forum. What you are asking about was answered very well by a forum user called Dutchrol, who did a splendid job in teaching many of us to use the Screen Designer Program that is accessed through the menu tool bar in the MGL EFIS simulator you can download.
If you go to the youtube and search "Dutchroll MGL" it should come up with some very good videos by dutchroll on the MGL EFIS and Screen Designer. Here is the address of one video " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGlrREFcRio " copy and past that into your browser address bar.
Here is the type of thing you can design with the MGL Screen Designer that you can then simply scroll backwards and forwards. These are some of my info type pages which you can scroll between by a button press. You can get the idea of what you can do to have a simply one button push scroll using the page - or page + buttons to scroll between your checklists pages. To be honest just about anything you may want your MGL EFIS to do, it will more than likely with some screen design time, be able to do it for you.
Cheers
