How Does the iEfis Demo Mode Actually Work?

Post by hpmicrowave »

I'm trying to use the an iEfis Lite in its Demo mode and it will not respond at all at least is will not fly the only flt plan in its data base (around my airport) and it will not get above the equator.

The only instructions I can find are 2 lines worth of text, it says demo mode uses a flt plan, and you must activate the DEMO MODE.

I am using a real iEfis Lite, not the PC Simulator.

Does anyone have any instructions on this mode?

Demo mode uses the position you entered in your flight planner as "demo" position (nothing to do with flight plans - just use the built in flight planner to set a position)
Use the altimeter bug to set the altitude. Set the heading knob to look in a particular direction. If you set it to zero it will slowly rotate around 360 degrees - any other heading it will be fixed to that heading.
