Xtreme EFIS with Garmin Aera 660 GPS

Post by vanzed »

Xtreme efis Gen2 updated with sp6 and 7 and MGL roll servo. Connect Garmin 660 via RS232 port2 but autopilot does not seem to like it. Enters approx rate1 left hand bank whether tracking or wing levelling
Internal GPS way-points and tracking OK. Am I missing something or doesn't AP track external GPS. Garmin data appears to show up on MGL GPS screen.
AH works properly with no external GPS input

I am sorry but there is no functionality to follow a GPS track from an external device via NMEA.
You can only do that via ARINC from Garmin systems that have this kind of output and EFIS systems that support ARINC like our iEFIS with iBOX or older Odyssey/Voyager systems.
