I am setting up some CAN interfaces for all devices in my plane.
A connector for Rotax 914 TCU data is working just fine for a while now.
Now there is an interface for my transponder in the making, which will be connecting to an air control display, controlling a VT01 Transponder and an Aircom Radio.
Therefore it would be nice to control the radio, too, but there is no protocol for radios in the MGL CAN manual.
Any hints where to find it?
best regards,
Steffen

Re: CAN Protocol for Radio
Have you had a look in the V16 ICD document ? It's on our website under the V16 product page. The CAN protocol is described. It's fairly simple to implement.
Re: CAN Protocol for Radio
thanks for the hint to the radio manual, was looking for the can protocol document only.
But it does not work. Sending ID 0x440 messages 0, 1 and 2 with some status data, but the radio on the screen stays crossed out in red.
The same as transponder, can't get this to work either.
