Good Afternoon,
I saw mention in the Aircraft Spruce catalog of a new system called the Enigma MkIII. I have been using an Enigma since 2009 and it's getting a little old, so I'm looking at replacement alternatives. My panel space is limited so the idea of a new system with the same footprint as my old one as well as compatibility with my RDAC and IOX would be great. Is there any detailed information available yet as to cost and availability?
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Enigma MkIII
I'm not sure where that comes from.
I know when we designed the MX1 I wanted to call it the Enigma as in my mind it's a worthy replacement in similar kind. However since its also very different it was decided to give it a new name to avoid confusion.
There is no upgrade path from the Enigma with the exception of the older Voyager and Odyssey instruments which can use the same peripherals.
Any of the new systems (i.e. the iEFIS range) released in about 2012 switched to CAN bus devices and this is unlikely to change.
