Connecting MX1 and RDAC XF

Post by AkiSuokas »

I suppose that the correct manuals to find wiring instructions should be "RDAC XF installation" and "iEFIS MX1 installation manual"
But MX1 has a DB25 connector, RDAC manual shows connection to DB9 (at iEFIS end), so I need some clarifications.

I assume that RDAC manual page 7/20 and MX1 manual page 65 (connections to i-EFIS units)) are the correct one?

RDAC CAN- (darker grey) is at RDAC end connected to CAN- pin. Is it connected at MX1 end to pin 22?
And CAN+ (lighter grey) to pin 24?

I would like to see that RDAC is powered only when MX1 is powered. So is is correct to wire RDAC "VIN" pin to MX1 pin1?
And how to ground units? RDAC only to engine block?

don't forget the terminating resistors at both ends of the bus.

120 Ohm from CAN+ to CAN-

Stubs no longer than 30cm/1ft
