Enjoying my MGL suite.
I have been working on using my MGL Autopilot with the GVOR function and according to what I can figure, I have amended my Navigation Manual page 38 with the following notes as I found it an awesome tool once you know how to work it. The notes are my personal view and opinion only - use only as informative and not as instruction in any way. I use an Explorer Lite.
NOTE:
To Operate the GVOR, Select AutoPilot "Straight and Level"
a) Under "NAV" menu, Select 'GPS: Select GVOR Station'
b) Scroll down to Desired GVOR and CLICK ON VOR to show PRIMARY VOR HSI
c) Then Turn OBS to radial RECIPROCAL and then go to NAV, 'Select VOR lateral NAV'
OR
d Under "NAV" menu, Select 'GPS: Select GVOR Station'
e) Scroll down to Desired GVOR and CLICK ON VOR to show PRIMARY VOR HSI
f) THEN - Under "NAV" menu again, Select 'GPS: Select GVOR Station'
g) Scroll down to previously selected GVOR in (e) above and CLICK ON "Set VOR Primary"
h) Then Scroll up or down to secondary GVOR and CLICK ON VOR to show secondary VOR
HSI
i) So you can have primary and secondary or just primary or just secondary
j) NOW Turn OBS to radial RECIPROCAL and then go to NAV, 'Select VOR lateral NAV'
***** Remember to set Autopilot "Straight and Level" then only go to ACTION and
"Cancel GVOR" if want to cancel GVOR
***** Remember Autopilot will fly to the radial 1st before turning on OBS setting
***** You can also CLICK on NAV GPS top of screen to switch Primary and Secondary and
then turn OBS to Desired Radial Reciprocal
Comments welcome - thank you
