Re: Domain
Thanks for the headsup - just tried but it seems it is taken. It shows as available if you go to it - that might be a response caused by the server being inactive.

Re: New MGL Avionics user forum
Believe me, we are trying. Bill Cherry ran the old forum for what feels like close to 20 years ? It's actually amazing it ran this long on an old PC and using by now ancient software. Bill is trying to resurrect the server - hopefully for long enough so we can try and extract all the valuable inform...
Re: Spam bots
Easy to weed them out now - but I need to approve first posts so that causes delays for users to get onto the forum. Will hunt around and try alternate solutions if I find anything. Mostly Russian bots - they have no issue getting around the the captha's it seems. Even the list of questions I made u...

Re: V16 setup instructions
Easiest way is to tune radio to an unused frequency, talk into the mic and note the level of your side tone in the headset when pressing PTT or not pressing PTT. If the loudness sounds the same the level is good. If it is different - adjust the MIC input level until it is the same. TX uses automatic...

Re: Waypoint memory after power cycle
I have a challenger that has a couple items that do not work the same way the simulator does. 1. The simulator retains the last waypoint when you shut down the simulator. My challenger looses the waypoint if it is power cycled. I there a way to make it retain the last waypoint after a power cycle? ...
Re: Spam bots
Spam bots still getting through. No idea how they get past the Captcha. I have now changed this to a simple Q&A and the first post of a new registration needs to be approved before it is visible. That way at least I can kill the spam before it floods the forum. Let's see how that goes - does require...

Re: G meter reset
No, I never included anything that would do that - just adding it now for next release. Will be a touch field - so just place the invisible touch field on your readout - then touching it will do the reset.
Spam bots
I am surprised how fast the spam bots are taking on this new forum.
I have started adding a few counter measures. The first is to only allow new registrations after a verification e-mail has been sent/received.
Let me see how that does before I make things harder.

New MGL Avionics user forum
The MGL Avionics user forum at mglavionicsusers.org is no more ! After many years of faithful support this forum is offline. It was a true user run forum run by MGL supporter Bill Cherry. Bill's health has taken a turn for the worse five years ago but he steadfastly maintained the user forum since. ...

MX1 Landscape mode update available
On the MX1 Firmware page you will find two sets of files, one for landscape and the other for portrait mode displays. Each set consist of the MX1OPSFW and MX1FW file for the EFIS itself and the matching simulator you can use to design your own screens. You can change between Portrait and Landscape m...
