Re: iBox V2 static leak SOLVED

The nipples are slightly rough. we tend to use soft neoprene tubing which seals very well -= PVC in particular thick walled tubing can be very hard and then it may not seal that well. A very small amount of silicon sealant (RTV is good) smeared around the nipple (don't block the hole) works well.

Re: AMOLED SCREEN

I do not think these are amoled displays - at best they are IPS, same as the one used in your Challenger. If you can't read your plates - it's not the display - it's the resolution the images where converted at. If the conversion has been done correct the images will appear crisp. If these are low r...

Re: USB Com Port Extender

There is no replacement for the COM port extender. It's not your standard USB to serial converter at all.

Re: mgl discovery lite and rdac xf

Please refer to the RDAC installation manual with respect to grounding as this is very important. In a nutshell - the RDAC must get its power supply ground directly from the engine block and nowhere else as otherwise it cannot measure any sensor that uses the engine block as ground accurately. The g...

Re: ADSB-in and out with a Voyager Odyssey G2

The Enigma would be used to send NMEA data (i.e. standard GPS messages) to your transponder. This has nothing to do with GDL90. There are no plans to reuse the old Odyssey and Voyager housings to create a new EFIS - simply because of the use of touch screens and there being no more use for keypads m...

Re: Enigma error messages

This means it is not able to read the flash memory chip on the CPU board - you have two of them. This contains the Enigma application and is also used to create a disk to hold data such as your screen files etc. The most common issue on these boards is due to them being built with lead free solder. ...

Re: ADSB-in and out with a Voyager Odyssey G2

This does not work with the Odyssey or Voyager. Here you need a ADS-B receiver that supports GDL90 protocol over RS232 at 115200 baud (this originates from the original NavWorx receivers). Virtually all receivers support this protocol either over the air via Wifi or wired via RS232. Note that things...

Re: MGL iefis explorer speed audio readout setting

System Setup -> Operations setup menu. Copilot mode below airspeed: xx - enter the speed below which the speed readout commences and then check the box to the right of this to activate it. Note that your EFIS must be in active flight detect (the flight timer will be flashing in this case) - usually ...

Re: mgl discovery lite and rdac xf

For the relatively short runs used in our aircraft I find just a single 100 ohm (or 120 ohm) resistor placed anywhere on the CAN bus is all that is needed. Make sure you wired that resistor between the two CAN bus wires and also make sure you did not swap the lines (CANH -> CANH and CANL -> CANL). O...

Re: XCom Radio Install

VAL Radio uses the Garmin protocol with some additions like setting volume and squelch from the EFIS - the Microair if it has serial support (i.e. a later model) implements the Garmin SL40 protocol.
