Re: GPS Xed out

I'm not near the plane at the moment, but from memory you will get a lat lon when it gets a luck, and will show RAIM status.

Re: GPS Xed out

Not sure if it will help but I have an explorer lite that the red X stays on the GPS button, even when it has a good lock, after I turn on the iEfis

Changing pages and back again fixes it every time though.

Re: Major V16/A16 update

Thanks rainier

I'm not sure what happened with the initial bin file update. It started as per normal but then showed no data received from the A16 as soon as I turned it on to commence the update.

Re: Major V16/A16 update

Update

Problem solved.

It would not show as online using the Windows updater, but by applying power after starting the update process, instructions say it has to be online but I ignored this.

It did recognise the A16 and after a couple of failed attempts it accepted the firmware update.

Re: Major V16/A16 update

Can anyone confirm that the RS232-USB harness for the V16 will work on the A16, or do I need to use a different 232 ground other than pin 9?

I'm hoping someone can help, just tried to update my A16 using the bin file, it now isn't recognised and showed not data received as soon as I restarted it for the update process to begin. Tried the serial version with no luck as well. My 2 V16's updated fine on the serial link. Hoping it isn't bric...

Re: MX1 Mapping data for Australia

Rob

I have a very old set of WAC's using the old format. Means but you can't really swap between map sets like the new format can though.

You can also download the free pdf versions of the VNC and VTC and convert them to the new format.

Re: Why Doesn't The Autopilot Do Its Job Properly?

Is it possible that the servo is 'crossing zero' and causing the issue.

Re: Why Doesn't The Autopilot Do Its Job Properly?

I never have an issue with the altitude, only ever wanders in the 50 feet range, never 500 feet.

I do tend to add a bit of trim up so that servo had some force to work against.
