V16 Transmit Quality
I have a V16 with a Vega 2 1/4 that is not connected to the iEFIS. Only tested on the ground up to now Reception is crystal clear When performing radio check Tower rates quality as between 3 and 4 with line of sight to Tower Transmit is 9 to 10 Watts and SVWR is 1.2 Any suggestions on what I can do ...

I had a similar problem
I shielded the leads and that solved the problem
Aircraft Spruce sells braided silver plated shield and it depends on diameter of your leads what you get
I grounded one end of the sheilds to the engine block

Hello Put my CHT leads into boiling water at sea level and got a reading of 200 deg F (93 C) and 22 deg F (-6 C) with them in ice. Is this within spec and what tolerance is acceptable? MGL under plug sensors that I set up as type "K". All 4 cylinder readings are within 1 or 2 degrees of each other. ...
