Re: Audio conexion
I have a question related to the connection of the sounds generated by the screen to send them to the headphones in the mx1. According to the manual, the audio output is pin 20, I imagine that this will be the positive signal. What would be the negative sign? exist a wiring manual for the installat...

MX1 - Lock Up
I've had this happen twice while just sitting in the hanger with only the Efis and Radios on. Not manipulating the buttons nor transmitting. The MX1 locks up in this state and must be power-cycled in order to clear it. Has this happened to anyone else? Firmware version 11.

MX1 RS232 Port-4 mis marked!
It's confirmed the RS232 TX4 (pin19) and RX4 (pin8), as marked, are marked backwards. Might be that I have the only one like this but the markings agree with the manual. They are both wrong. According to my function test as well as finally doing an oscilloscope test they actually are TX4 (pin 8) and...

Re: MX1 Count Down Timer
Solved: OK so it seems the timer works on the actual MX1 just not in the simulator.

MX1 Count Down Timer
The Count down timer on the MX1 does not seem to work. It remains at "54.3" all the time.
I see in the manual that the count down timer is contained in the iBox. Does that mean that those of us without the iBox will not have a functional count down timer?
Thanks for shedding light on this.

Re: RS232 LOOPBACK Test
To answer my own question, for the benefit of others, here is how the test mode works. I discovered another MGL owner on the airfield who showed this to me. I suppose MGL has documented this but I don't know where. Just connect a jumper from Tx to Rx and switch to the 'Serial Port Diagnostics Page'....

MX1 LandScape Designer hidden instrument
I've been updating my custom screens which started as a copy of the Default screens when I found this 'Heading Indication" item waaaaay off the screen at (45040, 13053). Thinking I made some sort of goof I checked the Default Project and sure enough there it is. Is there any reason for this or is it...

RS232 LOOPBACK Test
Is there a hidden menu (MX1) or other that will do some sort of loopback test on the serial ports of the MX1?
I want to test Serial-4 from the MX1 through the cable to the DB9 going to the iEFIS Extender.
Can't get these two to talk to each other, and have run out of things to check.

Re: background noise - V16 & MX1
...I assume your RX squelch is closed ? I... It could be ground wiring related - perhaps your EFIS and audio system (including headsets and V16) share the same ground and noise from the EFIS gets into your audio ? Yes, RX squelch closed. Grounding is my suspicion as well. The Jacks are isolated fro...

background noise - V16 & MX1
My new install of the MX1 & V16 has gone well but I've got background noise that I'd like to eliminate. The intercom, sidetone, & radio all sound nice and clear and the VOX seems to do a good job. However even when the VOX has the mic turned off there is this noise in the background. It's not terrib...
