Re: ADSB traffic displays wrong altitude

My previous post wasn't very clear, It appears that my Challenger is reporting traffic 400ft low. I have flown near other aircraft and verified that ForeFlight is correct and the efis is reporting low. I have 2 altimeters in the plane and they are reading within 10ft of each other. I have talked to ...

ADSB traffic displays wrong altitude

I seem to have a ADSB altitude discrepancy on my Challenger Lite. The traffic shows up 400ft lower on the EFIS then it does on my IPAD. I have had the system installed for several years and the two units used to agree. I am using the Uavionix EchoUAT and the skyFYX via serial port to the Challenger ...

Re: Database update missing frequencies?

I believe there are instructions in the pdf file for importing google maps and georeferencing them. The navidata comes from the database tables. If you are trying to add maps to the Gen3 I would use Mapmaker2.

Re: Database update missing frequencies?

The navidata.ewd file contains airport and obstacles information not maps. If you are trying to make map files you need to use MapMaker2.

Re: Database update missing frequencies?

I am missing the frequencies as well. I believe I remember reading that they were no longer merging the data from www,navaid.com because the data was no longer being updated and some of the data was inaccurate. Here is the excerpt from page 10 of the mgl central database tool instructions: As of wri...

Re: Track to waypoint not updating real time

So the function is working as intended but the text should be track instead of Brg. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Track to waypoint not updating real time

I have noticed that my GPS BRG does not update real time. If I Re Track the value will update. The source is track to waypoint (mag). Is this a bug or is there some strange reason this only updates when re-tracked? I know I can change the source to GPS heading to waypoint to make it update real-time...

Re: Waypoint memory after power cycle

I didn't find anything on the memory chip or the flip-flop. Is the CPU card field replaceable or is it soldered to the baseboard? I need to get it repaired. If I can swap the card that would be great if not I need to send it to Matt.

Re: Waypoint memory after power cycle

I will take a look at it after lunch and let you know what I find. I am familiar with tin whiskers but only experienced issues on the dense BGA parts. I did a quick inspection of the cpu card when I replaced the flashcard and the solder on the smt parts looked good. I will take a better look at the ...
