Re: Enigma heading fluctuations
Sorry for the massive delay. It is an SP-2 magnetometer. Located behind the panel next to the AHRS module

Re: Enigma heading fluctuations
Not sure which magnetic sensor is installed. It is behind the panel and very difficult to get to.
I'll see if I can get in with a borescope to get a picture of the model number and how its installed.

Enigma heading fluctuations
I have an Enigma installed in my (new to me) plane. The heading reading on the display is very erratic. I’ve tried to calibrate the compass sensor on the ground and in the air but with no luck. I’m assuming it is displaying magnetic heading - the auto pilot tracks and holds a gps heading really well...

Re: Explorer EFIS pitot/static nipple
You will notice that the sensor you took out has a small hole drilled on the side that fits to the altimeter sensor - that's how the static pressure gets to that sensor. If you swapped sensors - make sure you drill that hole but CAREFULLY - if you drill too deep you will destroy the chip that resid...

Enigma Altitude
I've just had a Zenith 601XL delivered to me with an Enigma EFIS The ferry pilot said it was showing some wonky airspeed readings. Upon investigation it was a blocked pitot tube. While I had the tube off and the panel apart I figured I'd do a pitot and static test. I had to pull the EFIS out of the ...

Re: Explorer EFIS pitot/static nipple
DId you make any progress with your repair? I just had a plane delivered that had an Enigma. Although the ferry pilot said it flew well there were a few quirky issues. He said the airspeed reading was erratic. So I decided to check the pitot static system. I tried to remove the Enigma but the builde...
