IEFIS G3 suddenly not booting up
Landed at my home airport and was planning on going for a second flight after lunch. When switching the iEFIS on it failed to boot. It boot 5 blocks and then failed to load EXP3. When trying to boot the system from an external SD card I got error code 2 and it didn’t boot up either. Had to remove th...

Re: MGL Autopilot servos significant resistance when not powered
Thanks for the reply Adam. I removed one servo from the aircraft. The resistance is caused by the stepper motor. The magnetic rotor is touching the stator causing the increased residual torque. All the bearings and spur gear are fine. I guess I have to send them in to get fixed.

MGL Autopilot servos significant resistance when not powered
My airplane has 3 MGL servos installed, converted to capstan. All 3 servos have significant resistance when not powered. When doing a flight control check on the ground the controls feel heavier. In the air the control forces are pretty bad. I disconnected the servo cables and the airplane flies nic...

V6 remote controlled with iEFIS
I have a problem with my remote controlled V6. When transmitting the pilot has good side tone and can hear what is transmitted. However the pax can not hear what the pilot is transmitting but can hear all received transmissions. Also IEFIS audio alerts are very quiet even at the highest setting in s...

MGL Autopilot servo range of motion Setup question
I am trying to setup up my iEFIS system with the MGL auto pilot servos. The servos are converted to capstan as my control cables have a lot of travel. 7.5” total travel for bank, 5” for pitch and 3” for yaw. I would like to confirm that I understand the autopilot setup correctly in terms of range of...

Re: Simulator 1.1.2.2 Snags
JimJab with all due respect. I do not think you understand my post. I understand how sensor simulation works in the MGL Sim. Of course it is not a flight sim. I am using it to design screens and check their functionality. As mentioned in my post above, sensor simulation for those items seem not to w...

Simulator 1.1.2.2 Snags
Problems with the iEFIS simulator V1.1.2.2 Not sure if I am missing something in the system setup of the simulator. I have problems with the following sensor simulations, all of these snags are actually working in the real airplane iEFIS: - I have the standard G3 iEfis with the extender. Digital inp...

3D terrain does not show red
As I recall when in 3D view relevant high terrain showed in red. I can’t find the setting to activate it. My terrain just shows in the color selected in the 3D menu but not in red. Any help would be appreciated. Another question I have is with vector maps is there a way to show high terrain, eg moun...

Re: MGL WiFi Gateway now available in the US!
Update:
I switched the internal RS232 iEFIS port OFF in system setup and that seems to stop the glitches. I could not replicate any. But to be sure I downgraded my firmware to 1.1.2.1 and everything works fine again.
