Re: Micro SD card not latching in Challenger EFIS

Hi Mike, I had the same problem with my Challenger and actually thought the card holder in the efis was defective. It may sound strange but I changed to a higher quality micro sd card and that fixed my issue. Other than occasionally missing the slot completely when I insert the card I have not had a...

Re: EFIS tripping ECB

Update:
This issue was resolved by using the on/off switch on the ground (12-) wire and connecting 12+ directly from the ECB to the efis .

Re: EFIS tripping ECB

Thanks Adam for your input. I don't have any meters that react quickly enough to capture the inrush current. It exhibits this behavior even at the highest current setting allowed for a single breaker (10 amps) and the normal current when it is operating is 2.5-3 amps. Could the fault on initial star...

EFIS tripping ECB

I recently powered my Challenger lite and RDAC with a breaker on one of the ECB's. There is a switch in series with the Challenger and RDAC.The breaker is set to powered on and is 5 amp with a 2 second delay. After powering the ECB I turn on the switch and the breaker trips. Turn the power off to th...

Re: Navidata update does not have airport frequencies

Hi Paul.
There was a thread on this very topic that was removed. Like you I re-loaded an old Navidata to get the freqs. back. I hope they are seriously working on this, all their competitors offer a reliable navigation database update.

Re: GPS position is inaccurate

Thanks for the reply Sputnik,
Very small airports in the USA and they are all about the same distance off. Your reply was what I was afraid of.

Thanks

GPS position is inaccurate

I have a Challenger Lite and the GPS position relative to the airport is not accurate. GPS navigation works well to get me to the general area of the airport and the GLS approach will show the runway off to the side. I have tried moving the antenna to several locations and will receive 8-13 satellit...

Re: backup battery

Very impressive Cecil,
Is there a schematic program for dummies you could recommend and can you explain the purpose of the green colored diode between the 12v+ side of the backup battery and the 12v-. With my limited understanding that would cause a short.

Thanks

Re: ECB - Light Wig-Wag function

I've never quite understood the sequence for my wig-wag function. On powerup mine works one of the following two ways : turn switch on and lights go on. Off and on again and you have the wig-wag. If you want to repeat this process you have to cycle the switch on/off and then back on to get lights. O...
