Re: Keyboard disappears too fast to use it
Aha! Found it. No, I'm not forcing a screen draw, at least not intentionally, but I was using an Info Screen Timer (invisible) to advance a small area, my Info screen, every few seconds. It appears that triggers a complete screen redraw. Guess I can live without the info screen auto-advance. Though ...

Keyboard disappears too fast to use it
When I press the arrow key on my mini comm, nav, or transponder display, it brings up a large keyboard for me to type in a new frequency or squawk as appropriate. Unfortunately, this keyboard disappears too fast for me to do anything with it. Sometimes it's a half-second, sometimes it's two seconds,...

Re: RPM jumps at high power
Neat, but I don't think that can help me. That unit is 4.5" long, and I don't have that much available between the firewall and the magneto.

Feature Request: Add to VSI, "Needle is small triangle"
As it says in the title, I'd like to make an analog VSI needle on a transparent background to crawl around the outside face of my analog altimeter, and the thing that's stymie'ing me is that I can't change the needle from the stock one. It would work perfectly if I could use the "Needle is small tri...

RPM jumps at high power
I'm running a LYcoming O-320D2B (Bendix mags) and using the magneto spark-counting feature to determine engine RPM. It works fine on the ground, but as I fly and increase speed to get RPM near 2700, the RPM counter starts intermittently jumping to 3300 and back. I have tried, endlessly, adjusting th...

Re: GPS position is inaccurate
I doubt it’s your GPS position; far more likely it’s your runway end coordinates, which are only as good as the database they came from, as modified by any loss of precision due to anyone chopping off significant digits along the way. Have you tried another runway? Another airport? What airport are ...

Re: Speedbrake (Flap) indication on EFIS
You can certainly use those potentiometer outputs as an analog input, for which you can then set a limit for warning, etc. I’m jealous. My actuator doesn’t have pot inputs; I just rigged a micro switch to tell me it’s closed on the EFIS. The flap graphic element works well for the landing brake, eit...
Re: Stratux
That all sounds good. You didn't say, but I assume you've gone into system settings and configured Serial Port routing/allocations to receive a Navworx ADS-B on RS232 port #2. And that you've configured it for 38400 baud (Navworx default is 115200), over on the ADS-B Settings. Check the Traffic butt...
