Use any waypoint as GVOR
Hi all, I'm starting instrument training and I would like to practice VOR approaches to my local field, which doesn't have a VOR/DME. While most every licensed airfield (in Ireland) has RNP procedures now, the old stuff is still on the curriculum (along with the circular slide rules ). Anyway ...

MX1 AOA Problem
Hi All,
Has anyone got the AOA working on an iEFIS MX1?
I have performed the calibration but can't get it to work and selection of the AOA diagnostics screen is causing a reboot. Has anyone seen this or in fact (MX1 being relatively new) has anyone successfully used AOA on an MX1?
Thanks,
Gareth.

Re: V16 interference
Hey Peter, I had something possibly similar. My V16 is run though an A16 using the digital interface so they act almost like a V16 standalone (with some extra features). It turned out that the microphone gain was waaaaay too high, mostly because on the iEFIS the master volume for the A16 was not obv...

Re: "Feedback" on transmit
Hi All, Just in case anyone is searching with a similar problem, this is solved. It was a bad case of failure to follow the instructions in the manual! In my defence when I originally installed it was with an early draft of the manual (A16 serial number 3) so I did not install the Bourns 5001 isolat...

Re: N16 Disappears
Hey Rainier, The N16 is shutting down consistently on each startup. I have been able to get it to come back up by shutting off all electrics (essential-Bus switch and master switch both off, then on) once the engine is running. I do not have an "avionics bus" to avoid a single point of failure so ev...

Re: N16 Disappears
Thanks Rainier, I have not crawled into the back to check the led with the engine running! I don't have a way to isolate the avionics during start-up as they are all on a dual-fed Essential Bus along with the EFIS, RDAC and AHRS to avoid a single point of failure. Hopefully the firmware change will ...

"Feedback" on transmit
Hi, When I press the PTT, I initially get silence. If I speak immediately all is good. Clear transmission and no feedback. However, if I say nothing, after about 1 second feedback starts and builds (just like when you get a microphone too close to a PA speaker). The only way to get it to stop is to ...

N16 Disappears
Hi all, With power on, but before engine start, all components are working. As soon as I start the engine the N16 disappears from both the MX1 and the Razor which means CAN bus and RS232 both stopped. Connectors are screwed in. Any ideas? Thanks, Gareth. iEFIS MX1 A16 V16 N16 Headless Trig TR-22 con...

Re: NTC expected voltage readings (Carb Temp)
Thanks Rainier,
I've switched out to a PT100 probe and it appears to be much happier now.
Gareth.

NTC expected voltage readings (Carb Temp)
Hi, I have AUX1 configured as the carb temp channel. I have a 2-wire NTC probe attached to AUX 1 and to RDAC ground. (https://ie.rs-online.com/web/p/temperature-probes/1241081/) Unfortunately there is no profile given for this probe. The diagnostics are showing decreasing AUX1 voltage as I warm up t...
