engine operating hours measuring
Hi I'm using an iEFIS to monitor a Rotax 912iS Sport engine using the CAN Bus communication. I'm finding a difference of 5-6% between the engine operating time measured by the iEFIS and the time measured by engines ECU. What is the logic in the iEFIS for the time measurement? When does it start coun...

GPS failures
I use an EFIS with an iBox. in the past years we had a few GPS failures, where GPS data was intermittent with periods of upto 30 minutes without GPS data. In all cases, replacing the antenna solved the problem. I am using the same GPS antenna that is supplied in automotive navigation devices. Any ad...

Re: Differential fuel pressure
The airbox air pressure is similar to manifold pressure in other engines and the pressure in the airbox can be approximately 0.5 bar at idle and 1 bar at wide open throttle. This difference of 0.5 bar is greater then the allowed Rotax tolerance of 0.2 bar. In some data analysis software I worked wit...

Differential fuel pressure
Hi I am running a Rotax 912iS engine on an iEFIS system. The Rotax fuel pressure regulator is regulating the pressure relative to the air pressure in the airbox, and keeps a 3 bar pressure difference between fuel and air pressures. Since I could not allocate an adequate and reasonably priced differe...
